Assassins got buffed, they can kills casters in about 2 combos. In fact they are one of the strongest classes in the game. Probably in the top 3 or 4.

The problem was never in 1v1 combat as I could almost always get the jump on somebody...the prob was what happened next. In raids, once I was out of invis...I was useless and extremely vulnerable to AOEs. Did they do anything to allow you to invis in combat, wear thicker armor or have any type of AOE combat? Those siege battles were a joke. All I did was die 40 times.
If not, it's still useless in my books.

if you get a crit by a spell you become immune to magic damage for like 8 seconds. You also have a clicky that makes magic damage heal you for like 10 seconds and a parry buff thats pretty good.
Sins still go down quick and casters still dominate sieges but a good sin can be effective in group pvp especially minigames

I'm still dealing with cs trying to get my acct back, I posted about my problem on the mmorpg.com forums and it caught the eye of Famine (the funcom community manager). He says he's going to look into it.
if I can get it back I'll be checking out the expansion, as much fun as leveling was there, I don't see myself doing it again.

As it is right now I have no idea who all plans to check out the expansion. I've been messing around in the trial a bit to get myself re-acclimated to the game. I'm pretty sure I'll pick it up regardless of if I get my account back or not.
Right now my trial char is an assassin on cimmerria, not much has changed in tortage, but the expansion is adding a lot of 20-40 content, along with 70+ content, so it shouldn't be too bad to level up again.
