As a lot of you probably know, I had my account hacked yesterday. Unfortunately despite everyone saying to make sure you use a different pw for your master account, game account, and what you use for fansites like aionsource.com, I didn't bother to change it because I have never had a problem with my account being hacked in any game, I don't cheat, use outside programs, bot, or anything that would normally leave me open to a hack attempt.
Please take my advice, and if you have not already, go change your pw's so that it is different from your game account, master account, fansites, and the email associated with your game. Not only did I have my game account, and master account hacked, but they hacked my hotmail account which I use for personal and some business uses. I have spent about 6 hours total in the last 24 hours on hold and am only a small way into getting everything set straight between my game and email account.
If this were not bad enough, my car died yesterday, and I had to have it towed to a shop by my work today, and because the tow service couldn't find my car at first, it just now got to the auto repair place, and I won't even know until tomorrow morning how long I'll be without my car.
Anyway, go change your pw's NOW if you have not done so.
BTW, for anyone who doesn't know, we are pretty sure that the way they have gotten all these accounts hacked, is
www.aionsource.com was infected with a virus that had a keylogger on it, and because I used the same pw for aionsource as my game account, they were able to access my game account. Change your pws, trust me you don't want this headache.
